We are excited to announce that Kazuo Maekawa, the lead instructor at MANGA DOJO TOKYO and the professional manga artist best known for the Ace Attorney and Ace Attorney Investigations manga series, will be appearing at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles this July.
Anime Expo is the largest anime and manga convention in North America, attracting hundreds of thousands of fans from around the world each year. It brings together anime enthusiasts, manga artists, voice actors, publishers, game developers, and creators to celebrate Japanese pop culture.

Manga Workshop
Maekawa sensei will host two special manga workshops during Anime Expo.
Each workshop is limited to 100 participants, and both sessions sold out within just three hours after registration opened, demonstrating the incredible enthusiasm for learning manga directly from a professional Japanese manga artist.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn authentic manga techniques, including character design and storytelling, from a creator with decades of professional experience.
Autograph Session
Maekawa sensei will also hold an autograph session featuring exclusive Ace Attorney posters.

Special Event at JAPAN HOUSE LA
Event Date: July 5, 2026
Following Anime Expo, Mr. Maekawa will host a special manga workshop at JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles, one of the leading cultural centers promoting Japanese art and culture in the United States.
During this workshop, participants will learn directly from a professional manga artist while creating their own original manga characters and discovering the fundamentals of manga production.

On the evening of July 2, Mr. Maekawa will appear at Anime Manga Lounge in Los Angeles for a special talk event.
