At Manga Dojo Tokyo, we offer hands-on experiences of Japanese pop culture for both locals and visitors from around the world.
From manga drawing to cosplay and Sake tasting experience, our mission is to create a space where people can connect through creativity and fun.
Manga Workshop: You can book everyday 10:00-12:00/ 13:00-15:00/ 15:00-17:00
Cosplay and Sake event : Held occasionally on weekends (irregular schedule)

Manga Dojo were wonderful, my son loves manga and wanted to get better at drawing manga style so we wrote Manga Dojo as asked about a lesson whilst visiting Ikebukuro. They were very welcoming and kind setting up a lesson with Professor Maekawa, wow such an accomplished professional it is simply a life experience. A Prof. Maekawa was so educational and helpful, everyone there was welcoming, knowledgable and had amazing sense of humor!
We are beginners but they were so patient and kind, this was really educational, and insightful. We left with new skills, and my son with renewed passion for drawing, this was such a positive experience I recommend Manga Dojo for a wonderful and educational Manga experience.

Who will be the teacher?
A professional manga artist will guide you through the workshop.
While the class is often led by Kazuo Maekawa, a manga artist with over 25 years of experience and known for “Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney”and “Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth“, please note that the instructor may vary depending on the schedule.
However, all workshop content is supervised and directed by Maekawa-sensei, ensuring a consistent and high-quality learning experience.

Where will the lesson be held?
Manga lesson will be held at a venue 5 minutes walk from Ikebukuro station.
(ONLINE lesson is also available!)
Are there any age restrictions?
Cartoon workshops are open to participants as young as 5 years old.
Children alone are also welcome to participate.
Meanwhile their parents can enjoy their time.
Please pick up your child after 2 hours.
