Program Flow

Introduction & Career Talk by Professional Manga Artist Kazuo Maekawa
Kazuo Maekawa, the manga artist behind the Ace Attorney manga series, introduces himself and shares insights into his career and what it is like to work as a professional manga artist.

Mix & Match Character Creation
Participants combine different facial features—including face shapes, eyes, noses, and mouths—to create their own original characters. At the end, everyone can compete to see who created the coolest or most handsome character!

Create a 4-Panel Manga
Using our simple and quick method, participants create their own 4-panel manga (yonkoma).
To make the activity even more fun, participants can rotate their manga among team members during the drawing process, creating an unpredictable collaborative 4-panel story together.
For student groups: Students can turn their memories from their school trip to Japan into a 4-panel manga.
For corporate groups: We can also customize the activity using your company’s values, corporate philosophy, mascots, or other themes. Please feel free to discuss your ideas with us.

Relatable Moments Manga Challenge
Participants work in teams to create a one-panel manga based on relatable situations from their workplace, school, home country, or everyday life.
Teams then compete to see which manga gets the most laughs and reactions from the group!

Manga Review & Awards
At the end of the workshop, everyone comes together to view and enjoy the completed manga. We can also arrange an optional award session with prizes for outstanding works.
※ The above is just one example of our workshop program.
The program can be flexibly customized according to your preferred theme and learning objectives. Through a pre-event consultation, we can propose the most suitable program based on the participants’ ages, interests, and goals.
