At MANGA DOJO TOKYO, we offer customized manga drawing and career education programs designed for school trips, student groups, and corporate teams visiting Tokyo.
Whether you’re a group of international students, a company seeking a unique team-building activity, or a school planning an educational experience, our manga workshop is a creative and interactive way to learn about Japan’s pop culture and communication through art.
Program Overview

This program is suitable for:
- Study tours and school trips to Tokyo
- Corporate team-building workshops
- Large groups or educational institutions
Depending on the participants’ level and interests, the content of the program can be adjusted.
The standard duration is 2 hours, but it can be customized to 1 hour or 90 minutes upon request.
Workshops can be held either at our Ikebukuro studio or on-site at your school or company venue.
For large groups, we can arrange venues in Shibuya, Ginza, or Ikebukuro.
Program Flow
Warm-up | Participants start by drawing faces using simple shapes such as circles, triangles, and squares. This helps everyone discover how much individuality can be expressed through simple lines and shapes. |
Character Design | Combine facial features (eyes, noses, mouths, etc.) to create your own original character. Groups can have fun competing to see whose character looks the coolest! |
Manga-Style Portrait Exchange | Using quick sketching methods, participants draw caricatures of their teammates in a manga style and exchange their drawings as gifts. |
4-Panel Manga (short story comic) Creation | Participants collaborate in small teams to create a 4-panel manga using simple, fun storytelling techniques. In the process, teams rotate and complete each other’s works, leading to spontaneous creativity and laughter. For student groups: create 4-panel manga capturing memorable moments from your trip. For companies: draw manga that reflect your corporate culture or mascot character. |
“Relatable Scenes” Manga | teams create one-panel manga based on common experiences at school, work, or in everyday life, and compete for the most relatable story. |
Choose the prize | Afterward, the group reviews all the works together — prizes can be offered for the best creations as an optional feature. |
Program Highlights
1 | Discover individual personalities through drawing and strengthen communication within the group. |
2 | Enhance teamwork by collaborating on one story or artwork together. |
3 | Boost creativity and imagination through visual storytelling. |
4 | Available with English or Chinese interpretation. Ideal for international exchange events and global team-building programs in Japan. |
